Job Title: Sheeter AssistantCompany Information:

Superior Lithographics is an award-winning, large-format paperboard packaging printer of Folding Cartons, Sleeves/Wraps, Corrugated Top Sheet and Litho-Labels for POP Displays. BRC Food Safety and GMP Certifications ensure the highest quality manufacturing standards for industries such as Food & Beverage, CPG, Nutraceutical, and Medical. Our in-house structural design team has expertise in optimizing for automated cartoner lines for food manufactures, co-packers and co-manufacturers.

Consistent and constant training allows us to stay current on industry trends; the team is eager to share the knowledge and apply it to your next project. Located three miles from Downtown Los Angeles, we are set up for easy access and quick deliveries to all over the Western United States.

Role Summary: The Sheeter Assistant prepares roll stock, handles material transport, monitors machinery and executes quality checks. They ensure uninterrupted production while strictly adhering to company safety standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Transport large rolls from storage to the machine using forklifts, clamp truck or hoists.
  • Assist the lead operator with knife adjustments, roll alignment and machine dimensions.
  • Stack, wrap, band and label finished skids or pallets of sheeted materials.
  • Remove scrap paper, empty cores, and trim waste from the work area for recycling.
  • Clean the machine and surrounding work area daily to ensure a safe environment.
  • Log production numbers, material usage and waste data into log system.
  • Additional Duties
  • Maintain housekeeping in and around gluers
  • Ability to perform sorting of nonconforming products
  • Perform preventive maintenance as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Safety Policies and Practices:
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, and Hygiene procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • All employees are required to wear safety glasses and steel toe shoes while in the manufacturing area. Sound protection is required in designated areas.
  • Keep work area clean and organized: remove scrap, sweep, and maintain clear walkways in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have mechanical skills, be accurate and precise, ability to use ruler, able to lift 75 lbs. or less, and be a problem solver. The individual must be capable of operating without direct supervision.

    Must be able to understand, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.

    Schedule:
  • Full time position: 3:00PM3:15PM (2nd Shift) Thu, Fri, Sat (w/ rotating schedules every quarter)
  • Overtime, weekends, and holidays based on production needs.
  • Salary: $18.00 hour
