Job description

We are hiring an experienced Quality Inspector for a growing precision sheet metal manufacturing operation. We are specifically looking for candidates with previous sheet metal quality inspection experience.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect sheet metal parts throughout fabrication, painting, assembly, and finishing
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections
  • Inspect incoming materials, components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Identify defects and dimensional discrepancies
  • Document and communicate quality concerns
  • Audit processes for compliance with established QMS procedures
  • Follow safety and quality requirements
Requirements
  • Previous sheet metal Quality Inspection experience strongly preferred
  • 1–2+ years of related experience
  • Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Blueprint reading required
  • Understanding of tolerances and dimensional specifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ISO/QMS knowledge is a plus
