Martens Portable Buildings is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Shed Salesperson to join our team.
We are looking for a proven salesperson who understands how to build trust, ask good questions, guide customers through a buying decision, and close deals professionally.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find the right solution, is comfortable discussing options and pricing, and can manage the sales process from the first conversation through the final purchase.
As a Shed Salesperson, you will work with customers who are shopping for storage buildings, garages, and other portable building solutions. You will help them understand their options, match them with the building that best fits their needs, and provide a smooth, professional buying experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and through online leads
• Ask effective questions to understand each customer's needs, timeline, budget, and intended use
• Present building options, features, upgrades, and financing/purchase options clearly
• Prepare accurate quotes and guide customers through the purchase process
• Follow up with leads and unsold customers in a timely and professional manner
• Build long-term customer relationships through honest, helpful service
• Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, options, promotions, and sales processes
• Represent Martens Portable Buildings with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude
Qualifications
• Previous sales experience is required
• Experience in sheds, buildings, construction, home improvement, automotive, RV, furniture, or another big-ticket sales environment is preferred
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to ask good questions and guide customers toward the right buying decision
• Comfortable discussing price, value, financing, and customer objections
• Self-motivated and able to follow up consistently
• Organized, dependable, and professional
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn quoting and sales software
