Coastal Sheds BuilderCoastal Sheds is looking for an experienced carpenter/builder who needs reliable work in a shop environment. If you are looking for local work that will cut your traveling expense and leave your paycheck bigger- you may have found it! "How much can you make?" Production based pay means you are paid based upon your own skill and initiative. Working a 40-hour weekly minimum qualifies you for other standard employee benefits. Builder is under the direction of the general manager and manufacturing manager:Responsible for constructing sheds in the manufacturing plant. Builder's duties include basic carpentry to frame, roof, nail, caulk siding, hang doors, install windows, etc., to complete the construction of sheds. May need to operate a forklift and use ladders and scaffolding. Must have a keen eye for detail and good multitasking and time management skills. Must be able to work independently and be able to follow instructions and read floor plans.Must be a good team player and respectful towards the rest of the team as well as management.Must be able to read floor plans, measurements, and detailed construction notes.Needs to be self-motivated and responsible.Must be open to instruction and able to learn and adapt. Builders supply and maintain their own small hands tools. Other shop tools are supplied by Coastal Sheds.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Read floor plans Cut trim and other materials Build walls Nail, caulk, router siding Install metal or shingles on the roof. Attach trim, hang doors, install windows, create lofts Use saws, drills, nail guns, and basic hand tools. Use forklift Work Site Expectations: Daily work site is outdoors in a well-equipped open-air shop.Occasionally, employees will be expected to be outside in all types of weather. Employees can expect to experience high levels of noise that is typically associated with a busy manufacturing environment. Must be able to tolerate a construction site including sawdust, paint fumes, and dust.Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, reach, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawlMust be able to lift no less than 70 pounds. Must be able to climb a ladder and be comfortable up to 6 feet off the ground.
