Clinical Health Psychologist in Oncology - Akron, OH

The Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute is recruiting a Clinical Health Psychologist to join our growing Psycho-Oncology program within the Department of Palliative and Supportive Care at Akron General Hospital. Through a combination of in-person and virtual visits, providers will focus on the clinical care of adults with a wide range of cancer types and across the disease trajectory. Care delivery is supported by a large interdisciplinary team within the cancer center network that includes psychiatry, social work, palliative medicine, medical and radiation oncology, PT/OT, nutrition, integrative medicine services, and much more. Opportunities in education, research, and quality improvement are also available.

Candidates should have appropriate clinical experience and a passion for working with adults with medical illness. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program, an internship with experience in clinical health psychology, and a post-doctoral fellowship. Eligibility for licensure in Ohio is essential. Applicants interested in part-time or full-time positions will be considered.

The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

Pay Range

Minimum salary: $95,000

Maximum salary: $144,500
