SharePoint Farm Administrator

Location: Suitland, MD

Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Leidos is hiring a SharePoint Farm Administrator to lead a team at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. 

In this role you will provide SharePoint Operations and Maintenance for Collaborative Services, Automated Business Processes, and related applications (currently SharePoint based) to fulfill the Hopper Information Services Center (ISC), Operations Department (ISC-N3), and Services Division (ISC-N33) SharePoint mission requirements. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of two other SharePoint administrators in the management of enterprise level SharePoint systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to identify and recommend system functional specifications, and infrastructure at the National Maritime Intelligence Center.
  • Be responsible for all SharePoint operations to include creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites, updating and supporting systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space. Support can include, but is not limited to user and site administration, implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies, troubleshooting and resolving issues, sometimes using novel or other unique solutions.
  • Work across IT functional boundaries (other SharePoint administrators, network administrators, system administrators, database administrators, government stakeholders, etc.) with configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrade and system management for optimum performance and reliability.
  • Develop and update user documentation and training and technician documentation for SharePoint based Collaborative Services, Applications and Automated Business Process.
  • Monitor daily performance and initiate remediation in accordance with approved processes and procedures to the government/contractor support team.
  • Act on and respond to ITSM incident, problem, and service request tickets or delegate to the SharePoint team for resolution.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Active Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • 4+ years of experience as a SharePoint Farm Admin.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting SharePoint users.
  • 3+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
  • Able to quickly build a SharePoint farm.
  • Familiar with all the functionality of the “Central Administration” web application and the STSADM.EXE commands as well as Shared Services functions, including managed properties, content sources, crawling, profiles, etc. 
  • Proficient at IIS Management, Server Administration, Active Directory Operation (including LDAP queries), DNS Operations, SMTP, Network Load Balancing (NLB), Event Viewer and Performance Monitor, Powershell scripting and providing SharePoint support and developer training. 
  • Broad knowledge of Windows networking and authentication, Kerberos and PKI and how to troubleshoot and resolve network connection and authentication problems. Comfortable with a variety of utilities such as Process Monitor, Network Monitor, Fiddler, LDAP browsers, KLIST, ADSIEdit, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200).
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400).
  • Experience administering or supporting enterprise Power Platform environments, including governance, security, deployment, and application lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating SharePoint, Power Platform, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 to implement enterprise collaborative services and automated business processes.
