Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Software Product Owner to support the Army PEO Missiles and Space, IFMC Project Office. This role focuses on coordinating software development activities, aligning priorities with program goals, and working directly with Agile development teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced communicator who can guide technical teams while supporting mission-critical Air and Missile Defense capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support software planning and prioritization activities.
  • Coordinate with Agile/Scrum development teams.
  • Assist in defining and validating acceptance criteria.
  • Review progress and verify completion of software tasks.
  • Prepare briefings and status updates for leadership.


Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or mathematics.
  • 10+ years of relevant Government/DoD experience.
  • Experience working with Agile software teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Product Owner or Scrum experience.
  • Agile certification.
  • Experience with Air and Missile Defense systems (e.g., IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD).
  • Technical background in networking, cybersecurity, CID, or Linux.
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence.
