Excelsior Wellness provides access to a comprehensive continuum of education, behavioral health, primary medical, social determinant, and human service providers, holistically rooted in the eight dimensions of wellness. Our subsidiaries include Excelsior Wellness Center, Excelsior Family Medicine, Excelsior Integrated Care Center, and Excelsior Holistic Schools.
Excelsior-Integrated Care Center is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time/on-call position as a Behavioral Health Technician. The Behavior Tech is directly responsible for ensuring that client supervision, behavior support and safety are being met while on shift. This position will have knowledge of the client's individual service plans and ensure that these plans are adhered to.
How to qualify:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Must be 21 years of age
  3. Minimum 1 year experience working/volunteering with youth
  4. Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  5. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for employment. *New employees with out-of-state licenses must obtain a Washington State Driver's License within 30 days of employment*

Primary duties:
  1. Fosters a positive environment, including a cooperative, unified team-based approach among staff and clients.
  2. Demonstrates empathy and sensitivity to the dignity of each client served, to the clients' unique service needs, including clients' beliefs and values, ethnic norms, language needs and racial identity.
  3. Is aware of and adheres to client's service plans: utilizing appropriate and therapeutic intervention techniques; seeks clarification as needed.
  4. Ensures the physical environment is properly maintained and in accordance with regulatory requirements; submits maintenance requests as needed to ensure compliance.
  5. Assists in ensuring all day-to-day program functions; psycho-educational and treatment groups, outings, recreation activities, and transportation needs are being provided and met.
