We’re hiring a Staff Accountant in Baton Rouge, LA!
Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, keeping things organized, and making sure the numbers tell the right story? Avita is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in our Baton Rouge office.

JOB OVERVIEW


In this role, you’ll support full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including sales and use tax filings, fixed asset and CIP reconciliations, prepaid expense amortization, business license renewals, property tax accruals, audit documentation, and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to contribute to a company with a meaningful mission in the healthcare/pharmacy space.
We’re looking for someone with:
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • 1–2+ years of related experience preferred
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Healthcare or pharmacy industry experience is a plus
