Sewing Operator: McHenry , Illinois
 
Our customer in McHenry , Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Sewing Operators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Sewing Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating sewing machines, ensuring high-quality stitching, performing routine maintenance, and working closely with the team to meet production goals.
 
Responsibilities of the Sewing Operator:
  • Machine setup and operation, selecting the appropriate thread and stitching patterns 
  • Sew, join, reinforce, or decorate materials according to design specifications 
  • Ensure quality control by checking measurements and inspecting finished products for defects 
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues such as skipped stitches, fabric misalignment, or incorrect stitching 
  • Perform regular maintenance on sewing machines to ensure optimal performance 
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and address challenges
 
Sewing Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Experience operating single and double-needle sewing machines 
  • Knowledge of various sewing techniques and ability to apply them effectively 
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a consistent work ethic 
  • Physical dexterity to work with fabric and machine controls for extended periods 
  • Desire to learn new skills and grow within the role
 
Pay for Sewing Operator: Starting at $18/hour.
