Job description

The Summer Theatre production assistant supports in all areas of theatre production, except costumes. Including building scenery and properties; hanging and focusing lights; sewing and painting.

This is a part-time non-benefits position paying $15.40 per hour.

Requirements

  • Candidates will have worked at least one semester as a Middlebury College Theatre Production Assistant, Dance Program Technical Assistant, McCullough Technical Assistant, or equivalent in another undergraduate program.
  • Candidates will have demonstrated competence in scenery construction and lighting hang/focus. Candidate will have demonstrated ability to work on technical and creative projects requiring problem solving and creative thinking. Ability to do basic math, climb ladders, lift and carry items, and physical mobility is necessary. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
