Salary Range $29.48 - $36.86* Job Description As a Tailor, you will be conducting alterations, resizing and restyling of all merchandise retailed in Neiman Marcus stores. You will assist fitters in achieving their goals with professional assistance with fit, alterability, and structural quality of apparel merchandise. What You Will Do Alter constructed garments to meet the standard of quality set by Neiman Marcus equal or better than original construction Alter seams vented or unvented, take in shoulder blades, reduce chest, narrow shoulders Rotate sleeves, shorten sleeves Shorten back, shorten collar, and square shoulders Shorten coat, re‐line coat, or remake inside or outside pockets Operate and maintain all sewing equipment Self‐inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Complete alterations assigned tasks, as assigned by Supervisor/Lead Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form Complete tasks assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead What You Will Bring Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment, with exposure to a variety of garment styles and types of fabrics, is preferred.
