Accounting - Sewell Fleet Management

The Sewell Family of Companies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sewell Fleet Management team as an accounting professional. The accounting professional focuses on either accounts payable or accounts receivable, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. To be successful in this position, the individual will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial information. As part of Sewell Fleet Management, the individual will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the organization's success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts receivable/payable records
  • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding receivables/payables
  • Ensure the accuracy of an organization's financial documents for payment and application of funds received
  • Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner and/or funds are received by customers per payment terms
  • Provide other support as needed for the operations of the company
  • Maintain a great attitude and professional discretion

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Skills & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • 1-year related experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Completion of drug screening and background screening
  • Provide all government I-9 requirements
