Job description

Hawaii Foodbank’s Vice President of Development brings a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit development operations and fundraising strategy, including digital giving, direct response, annual campaigns, donor cultivation, and major gifts. As a member of the executive team, this leader will be expected to establish a clear vision for fundraising excellence, build scalable programs, and drive sustainable revenue growth in support of the organization's mission.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Hawaiʻi Foodbank, the state's largest hunger relief organization, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Development to lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, communications, and development operations during a pivotal period of growth. Serving communities across the islands through a statewide network of partner agencies, Hawaiʻi Foodbank is expanding its philanthropic impact while advancing its $41 million End Hunger Together capital campaign and strengthening its fundraising infrastructure for the future.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, this individual will lead a growing team of development professionals while personally cultivating and securing major gifts. This position operates in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-person collaboration, donor engagement, community presence, and remote work flexibility. This is an opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraising leader to help shape the future of one of Hawaiʻi's most impactful nonprofit organizations and advance its mission of nourishing communities today while working to end hunger tomorrow.
