Community Dentist - Adult Restorative Procedures, Oral Surgery, Endodontics
Location: Maui, Hawaii
Setting: Community Health Clinic / Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Compensation and Benefits
Salary:$150,000 - $160,000/year

Summary
Provide dental care for adult patients in a community health clinic. The role includes preventive care, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, oral surgery, and endodontic treatment. The dentist works with dental assistants, hygienists, and residents and participates in patient education and community health programs.
Responsibilities
Provide routine and emergency dental services including exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canal treatment
Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient diagnosis
Review and interpret dental X-rays and diagnostic tests
Administer local anesthesia and prescribe medications when required
Educate patients on oral hygiene, prevention, and follow-up care
Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care
Supervise and support dental assistants, hygienists, and residents
Participate in clinic programs, training sessions, and community outreach activities
Minimum Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Completion of General Practice Residency (GPR) or equivalent clinical experience
Active Hawaii dental license or eligibility for licensure
CPR or BLS certification
TB clearance within the last 12 months
At least 1 year of experience in general dentistry preferred
Experience with restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontic procedures
