Job Description
The Assistant Banquet Setup Manager for Wynn Las Vegas will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution of most distinguished events. This position encompasses strategic oversight and refined operational management to ensure every banquet reflects our commitment to excellence and luxury hospitality. This is an overnight shift at our Las Vegas strip property.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Setup Manager to cultivate and mentor our Banquet Setup team through comprehensive scheduling and professional development, ensuring the highest standards of service excellence.
  • Coordinate all event logistics and resources with meticulous attention to detail, maintaining comprehensive event calendars and proactively identifying and resolving potential conflicts to guarantee flawless execution.
  • Collaborate with our Catering Managers and Banquet Captains to architect sophisticated event configurations, develop refined floor plans in compliance with Fire Marshall guidelines, and address any setup considerations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Oversee the Fire Marshall Fund account management and assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Catering, Setup Manager, and Senior Assistant Setup Manager.
  • Maintain operational excellence on the convention floor through strategic workforce management, ensuring compliance with all personnel protocols and maintaining precise records of time and payroll administration.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience as an Banquet Set-Up Assistant Manager at a distinguished, high-volume setting, preferably in luxury hospitality environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with essential technology platforms, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Opera, POS systems, coupled with refined leadership and organizational acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a flexible schedule in alignment with the demands of luxury event operations
  • Exceptional fluency in the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with sophistication and professionalism. Multilingual capabilities are highly valued
  • Proven ability to thrive collaboratively within a dynamic, high-performing team environment while maintaining individual excellence
  • Commitment to obtaining and maintaining all required licensing, certifications, and active work credentials as mandated for this position, both currently and in the future
  • Must be able to work the overnight shift and maintain operational integrity and service consistency, offering a poised and vigilant presence that reflects Wynn's standards and commitment to excellence
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
