Schedule:  Full Time | Day 36 hours per week | 7am-7pm Monday-Friday with on call requirements. CVOR Pod

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Deliver high-quality surgical support in fast-paced Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVOR), upholding patient safety standards to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain sterile fields, prepping specialized cardiovascular instrumentation, equipment, and supplies in strict compliance with AORN and Joint Commission standards.
  • Execute precise patient preparation, positioning, and draping to support direct patient care, surgical accuracy, and procedural flow for complex cardiac cases.
  • Provide expert, real-time surgical assistance, anticipating surgeon needs, managing specialized instrumentation, and supporting hemostasis during high-acuity open-heart and vascular procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking
  • At least 2 years of experience as a CVOR surgical technologist
