Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Seton Hospital

Department/Specialty: ICU Stepdown

Schedule: Days | Part-Time | 7am to 7:30am, every third

weekend, holiday rotation

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Care for critically ill patients needing longer term hospitalization such as respiratory failure/ventilator management and weaning, and multisystem complexities.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
