How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Clinical Autonomy: Perform comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, and adjust specialized care plans based on your expert diagnosis.

  • Advanced Modalities: Operate at the top of your license by managing cutting-edge respiratory equipment and performing advanced therapeutic interventions.

  • Life-Saving Impact: Serve as a critical member of the emergency resuscitation team, providing rapid, decisive care during high-stakes code events.

  • Holistic Advocacy: Drive patient success through integrated medication administration and by empowering families with essential health education and community resources.

  • Evidence-Based Practice: Continuously evaluate and refine treatment protocols based on patient outcomes to ensure the highest standard of respiratory excellence.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
