Date of Posting: July 1, 2026 Stage Manager - Advisor and Set Construction Supervisor Title: Stage Manager- Advisor and Set Construction Supervisor Units: 8Location: Marple Newtown High SchoolNumber of Positions: 1 Job Description: MN Drama is a theater club that is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students at Marple Newtown and offers the students a multitude of activities as well as an opportunity to socialize and make lasting friendships.Effective: 2026-2027 School YearQualifications:Experience: Experience working with school age students and coordinating and managing events.Skills: Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work with students of all ability levels.Education: Valid PA teaching certificate.Essential Functions: A faculty advisor acts as a liaison between the school administration and the club, providing guidance to student leaders and members.Advisors work with student leaders to plan events and create opportunities for inclusion.Advisors work with program staff to communicate information, and support and build lasting relationships.Advisors will supervise all club-related events and meetings.The Advisor and Set Construction position includes but is not limited to the following duties;Oversee the design, construction, and installation of theatrical sets for school productions, ensuring alignment with the director's vision and production timeline.Supervise and support students in all aspects of set production, including planning, building, painting, and safely using tools and equipment.Develop and manage a production schedule for set construction, including after-school rehearsals and build days, to ensure timely completion.Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing proper safety protocols, organizing materials and tools, and ensuring compliance with school policies and facility guidelines.Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.Other duties as assigned by Administration.
