Job description

A Mould set up Technician is responsible for installing, setting, and adjusting molds and related auxiliary equipment according to production needs and SOPs. Key responsibilities include installing and removing molds, connecting water lines and other accessories, setting machine parameters, monitoring production quality, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a clean work area to ensure efficient and safe operations.

· Set up moulds on 100-1000 tons machines including Nissei and Mitsubishi machines

· Hanging moulds using overhead crane

· Connecting water lines and verifying flow on water circuits

· Hooking up and confirming proper function of core pulls

· Hooking up and verifying hot runners

· Changing nozzle tip

· Setting up work cell

· Purging and starting machines

· Checking parts and working with QA for first-off approval

Qualifications and core competencies

· Minimum of three (3) years’ experience setting up injection moulds

· Able to fine tune processes (nylon, PP, ABS, PC, PE, etc)

· Able to connect to auxillary equipment; thermolators, hot runners, core pull

· Able to speak, read and write in English

· Able to work overtime during the week and weekends as required

· Certified in Counterbalance Propane
