Job description

Perform general upkeep and repair of outdoor grounds and structures at the resort.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain walkways; move dirt, spread woodchips with shovels & rakes.
  • Remove other obstacles such as fallen limbs, trees, or large stones.
  • Maintain drainage ditches and repair erosion damage as needed.
  • Perform lawn care services using riding & push mowers & weedwackers.
  • Reseed areas: rake, fertilize, apply grass seed & spread hay or mulch.
  • Plant and maintain flower beds and other gardens.
  • Clear debris using power sweepers, power washers and leaf blowers.
  • Cut and stack fire wood.
  • Pick up trash, empty rubbish barrels & recycle bins.
  • Transport trash and other debris to designated disposal areas.
  • Assist with upkeep, painting and repair of buildings.
  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment and gear.
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Manage tools and equipment and keep in good repair.
  • Operate ATV safely & responsibly to and from work sites.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • Skilled in providing outstanding customer service.
  • Able to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Use good judgment in making worksite decisions.
  • Follow all company procedures for maintaining a safe worksite.
  • Must be able to read labels on chemicals and follow product directives.
  • Communicate clearly using 2 way radios.
  • Experience with power tools, chain saws, mowers & grounds equipment.

  • Must be able to adapt to climate and work in extreme weather conditions.
Shift Requirements:
  • Hours may be long, including early morning through early evening.
  • Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.
Age Requirements:
  • Applicants must be at least age 18.

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass ATV driver safety training session.
