My Therapy Kids is a growing pediatric home health company dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality therapy services in the comfort of each child's home. We are committed to helping children reach their fullest potential while supporting families through individualized, evidence-based care. We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team.

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) plays a vital role in supporting the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist by providing speech and language therapy services to pediatric patients in their homes. This position requires traveling to patient homes, implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with families and the interdisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Accurately document therapy sessions, patient progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Educate caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support communication goals.
  • Maintain communication with the supervising SLP regarding patient progress and concerns.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Manage a flexible schedule while traveling to patient homes within the assigned service area.
  • Adhere to all state regulations, HIPAA requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license.
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Pediatric or home health experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of pediatric experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience working with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and other communication disorders.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
