Job description

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and communication skills to join our team as a Service Tech in the shop. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956. More information about us can be found below or on our website at www.hugghall.com.


ABOUT THE POSITION

Shop Service Techs function as part of the Service team and are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment.

In this role, you will:

  • Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
  • Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
  • Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or experience in a related field
  • Possessing or ability to obtain complete line of tools
  • Above average communication skills
  • Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Having general knowledge of operating various equipment
  • Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
