Job description

Summary
  • The role of the Service Technician is to provide maintenance activities at the facility or on client’s sites. Ensure proper work is done and send expenses to his manager to ensure proper billing for any maintenance job.
  • Work is primarily in the field environment including land based and production platforms. In some cases, work is completed on location after the drilling rig has departed location.
  • Typically, work is accomplished in an “outside” environment. Exposure to all weather extremes is normal. Noise levels are generally quite high with electrical power systems and their associated turbine driven systems in full operation nearby. Other rig related equipment is always in operation and will include draw works, blocks, cranes, pumping systems and blowout control systems.
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):

  • Know and follow all applicable policies and procedures
  • Report all HSE incidents, accidents, near misses and potential problems in a timely manner
  • Will be expected to help train fellow employees, sharing knowledge will help the department and Reichdrill to grow. Training must be done per Controlled Work Instructions and Trainings.
  • Engage with fellow employees to drive Continuous Improvement
  • Aim to have positive attitude and work together in a courteous and cordial manner. They should strive to help create an honest, trustworthy, and friendly work environment.
  • Use TPM and 5S Methodologies to help optimize equipment availability and improve plant cleanliness and organization by working with maintenance, fellow employees, and leaders to improve overall productivity.
  • Job Specific Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):

  • Be a valuable part of the service team and work directly with other members of the team and the client to give the highest level of quality with the lowest cost.
  • Performs prejob calculations as required. Obtains pertinent service work information from the customer and effectively communicates appropriate information to colleagues and management.
  • Attends and engages in all OJT training related to all specific equipment both commercial and maintenance related, keeping all certifications and product knowledge up to date
  • Is available for any and all scheduled OEM or ThirdParty Training as required to perform job successfully
  • Performs prejob and postjob preparation and maintenance of all job site equipment
  • Participates in prejob (pretask) meetings with fellow employees and complete on JSA’s
  • Operates vehicles and/or mechanized devices
  • Maintenance Aspects:
  • Be an asset in technical area to improve our service quality.
  • Knowledge of Drills, electricity and mechanic is important.
  • Performs prejob calculations as required. Obtains pertinent service work information from the customer and effectively communicates appropriate information to management.
  • Communicates prejob and onthejob progress to management. Recognizes possible sales opportunities for the Company's other products and services, and communicates information to appropriate company staff.
  • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA standards and guidelines. Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Control over spare parts and maintenance supplies and equipment in your truck.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time
  • Mechanical equipment and tooling basic knowledge of or aptitude to learn about machines and tools, including design, uses, repair and maintenance equipment as well as identifying and application of the proper tools to work on or operate a piece of equipment
  • Equipment knowledge has knowledge and understanding of pressure and service equipment as well as the spare parts and processes related to same. (OEM Reference Info, API Reference Info, Recommended Practice Info)
  • Safety and Security basic knowledge to be relevant to the use of equipment and the policies, processes and procedures for efficient and safe operations (Forklift, Pressure Test System, Paint System, Steam Cleaning System, Torque Wrench System, Crane Operations, Chemicals and PPE Equipment, etc.) in performance of duties assigned
  • Process and procedure focus understanding basic process and procedures applied to identification of equipment, spare parts, reporting, repair and maintenance schedules for both commercial and support equipment systems
  • Customer service basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service to include assessing customer needs, delivery of services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Dependability the ability to be reliable, responsible and dependable
  • Attention to detail careful and thorough in completing work and communicating with customers and coworkers
  • Communication the ability to read or listen and understand information being presented as well the ability to speak or write to convey information effectively

  • Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • High school degree or GED. Technical/vocational/or military training or related experience.
  • Must be 21.
  • 1 to 5 years of recent, practical experience with equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for past 3 years.
  • Must be able to lift over 100 lbs., squat, push, pull, twist, turn, bend and climb a ladder
