Marine Technician – Houghton Lake, MI

Outdoor Equipment Co. is looking for a motivated and dependable Marine Technician to join our Houghton Lake team. We are a fast-paced dealership serving customers across Northern Michigan with boats, personal watercraft, powersports equipment, lawn and garden equipment, and more.

If you take pride in your work, can diagnose and repair equipment efficiently, and want to work in a shop that stays busy year-round, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Diagnose and repair boats, outboard motors, and personal watercraft
  • Perform routine maintenance and seasonal service
  • Rig new units and install accessories
  • Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, steering, and cooling systems
  • Complete warranty and customer repair work accurately
  • Keep clean and detailed repair orders and notes
  • Work closely with service advisors and parts staff to keep repairs moving
What We're Looking For
  • Marine technician or mechanical experience preferred
  • Experience with Mercury, Yamaha, Kawasaki, or similar brands is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
