Overview

You will serve as a handson SRE within Post Trade Automation Technology, improving the reliability and scalability of our Fixed Income Settlement systems. You will build the engineering solutions that strengthen our cloud footprint, enhance automation, and modernize both Fabricbased and legacy components. You will apply SRE principles to optimize performance, reduce operational friction, and deliver the resilient infrastructure our business depends on. This is a role where your engineering decisions directly shape the stability of critical production platforms

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement reliability, availability, and observability improvements across Fixed Income Settlement systems

  • Define and maintain SLOs/SLIs and use them to guide engineering priorities and service quality

  • Build resilience patterns (e.g., autoscaling, circuit breakers, retries) into application and infrastructure code

  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes to reduce toil and improve MTTR

  • Design and maintain Corporate Insurance (CI)/CD pipelines and automation frameworks supporting Fabricbased and legacy systems

  • Architect and deliver scalable cloud solutions on GCP using Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern cloudnative practices

Skills You'll Need

  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, NodeJS/TypeScript, or Shell

  • Handson experience with GCP and Terraformbased infrastructureascode

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, UCD)

  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), and Helm

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability, and cloudnative engineering

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
