Service Proposal Writer Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Proposal Writer in Weatherford, TX. A commercial general contractor headquartered in Weatherford, TX is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to join their team on a full-time, in-office basis. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for crafting clear, persuasive, and compliant proposals that effectively communicate the company's expertise and capabilities to prospective clients. The ideal candidate brings three to five years of proposal or technical writing experience within commercial construction or a related professional services environment, a strong command of grammar and document formatting, and the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven submissions simultaneously within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

• Write and compile complete proposal documents from initiation through final submission, including executive summaries, cover letters, and narrative sections.
• Edit and refine technical content contributed by Preconstruction and Operations teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and readability throughout all proposal sections.
• Review solicitation documents to confirm full compliance with all stated requirements prior to submission.
• Coordinate proposal timelines, schedules, and activities across Marketing, Preconstruction, Operations, and executive leadership teams.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to integrate graphics, layouts, and branding elements into proposal documents.
• Conduct final quality assurance and control reviews prior to each proposal submission.
• Maintain and update proposal content libraries and a centralized repository of reusable proposal materials.
• Track proposal activities and outcomes and identify opportunities to improve proposal processes and templates.
• Support the development of interview presentations and contribute to other marketing-related initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; exceptional candidates with strong demonstrated experience are encouraged to apply regardless of educational background.
• Three to five years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, marketing, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex, deadline-driven documents involving multiple internal contributors across departments.
• Experience in commercial construction, architecture, engineering, or professional services is strongly preferred.
• Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, and document formatting skills with exceptional attention to detail throughout all phases of proposal development.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced capability in Microsoft Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Experience with employee-owned companies is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work full-time in an office environment Monday through Friday.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, and telephones.
• Occasional lifting of files, documents, or materials up to 15 pounds.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
