We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support our development teams in managing their cloud and datacenter deployments.
You will have the opportunity to partner with technology and business teams to build exciting and innovative solutions that reach across the globe to application users and customers. With an abundance of opportunities within the Empire, you can learn new technologies, interact with key business partners and be involved in exciting expansions and program launches.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance/support and collaborate with development teams on their cloud and datacenter products/deployments.
  • Work closely with Tech Leads of various teams to assess existing solutions, identify opportunities, and design process improvement. Identify and fix bottlenecks in development and deployment processes
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery in centralized/distributed repositories
  • Maintain a proper agile workflow for the DevOps team
  • Management and support of cloud services, container orchestration and scalable storage services
  • Implement and promote best practices for infrastructure management, security, and compliance
  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in collaboration with development teams
  • Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower development teams in managing their deployments
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve processes

Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS - strongly preferred).
  • Experience with datacenter management and virtualization technologies
  • Excellent scripting skills with tools (Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, GoLang)
  • Familiarity with AWS ALB ingress controller preferred
  • Extensive experience with implementing and maintaining high-scale cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform - strongly preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with containerization (Docker) and scaling with Kubernetes (EKS, GKS)
  • In-depth experience implementing and maintaining automation/configuration management solutions (Terraform - strongly preferred)
  • Experiencing administering and automating practical solutions for SDLC through CI and related tools (Jenkins, Git, SVN, Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with administering and automating high-availability environments in cloud infrastructure
  • Excellent knowledge of AWS cloud services, including, but not limited to EKS, and S3 buckets
  • Experience administrating Kafka instances
  • AWS Certification a plus
