Job description

Job Summary:
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department. The Service Manager will lead a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and efficiency in servicing vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and supervise all service department employees, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
2. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure department goals are met or exceeded.
3. Develop and implement strategies to increase service department revenue and profitability.
4. Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
5. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the service department.
6. Communicate with customers to provide updates on the status of their vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
7. Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts needed for repairs.
8. Train and mentor service department employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
9. Stay current on industry trends and developments to proactively address challenges and opportunities in the service department.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a service department at an automotive dealership.

The Service Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of between $5,859.00 and $5,900.00. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
