Insulectro, the largest national distributor of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) materials in the US is seeking a talented sales superstar for our Technical Printed Circuit Board Product Manager – Laminates position based out of our Lake Forest, CA location. We are looking for the perfect fit of education, passion and attitude that matches our company culture and enhances our service level to our customers.
This is a PCB materials and technical sales position focused on copper-clad laminates and printed circuit board manufacturing materials. Candidates with software product management, IT product management, SaaS, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or unrelated technology product management backgrounds are not a match for this role.
What Experience is Expected:
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PCB Laminate material
  • Electronic materials distribution
  • Knowledge of Copper clad laminates
  • Candidates without technical materials, PCB, or electronics industry experience are unlikely to be considered.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage Printed Circuit Board laminate product lines, develop market growth strategies, support supplier initiatives, and drive adoption of laminate materials within PCB manufacturing accounts.  
  • Work with Marketing to develop technical sales materials, product data resources, application guides, and customer training materials for PCB fabricators on new products launched.
  • Identify potential Customers and conduct product presentations and perform product demonstrations to existing and potential customers working with cross functional teams to produce winning results and ensure no delays are encountered. Manage Opportunity pipeline and competitive market share database.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and the Manufacturer to ensure revenue and Customer satisfaction results are met - including technical presentations, product demonstrations, conversions, and price increase introduction as needed
  • Conduct Manufacturer Business Reviews as needed.
  • Working with Pricing Group, setting pricing strategy to meet profitability and revenue goals
  • Assist Technical Account Managers (TAMS) with product related questions and technical data and on-site selling assistance when needed.
  • Assist Customers with product related questions and technical data, troubleshooting problems related to products managed
  • Work with internal teams to support stocking strategy decisions, ensuring proper raw materials are on hand as needed, and supporting the team by working with the Manufacturer on expedite policy and customer needs

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related technical discipline strongly preferred (or equivalent experience)

 Compensation and benefits:
  • Competitive base pay from $73,000 - $105,000 annually based on experience plus commissions
  • We offer a competitive benefits package including health benefits, 401K and Paid Time Off.
  • This position is based out of Lake Forest, CA and no relocation allocations will be provided.
