What is a service line manager?

A Service Line Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating a specific set of services within an organization, often within healthcare or large enterprises. They manage the delivery, quality, and profitability of their service line, ensuring that operations run smoothly and meet organizational goals. Their role typically involves strategic planning, budgeting, staff oversight, and process improvement to enhance both client and business outcomes.

How does a service line manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve service delivery goals?

A Service Line Manager works closely with cross-functional teams such as operations, sales, finance, and IT to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement. They coordinate with these departments to align resources, resolve issues quickly, and implement strategic initiatives. Regular meetings, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving are essential to balancing client needs, operational efficiency, and business objectives. This teamwork fosters innovation and supports the achievement of service line targets.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a service line manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Service Line Manager, you need strong leadership abilities, project management experience, and expertise in the specific service area, often supported by a relevant bachelor's degree. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, budget management software, and sometimes certifications like PMP or Lean Six Sigma are typically required. Outstanding communication, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to motivate cross-functional teams set exceptional managers apart. These skills and qualities are crucial for driving service excellence, operational efficiency, and team engagement within the organization.

D365 CE Technical Architect (Sales, CI, CCaaS)

Toronto, ON โ€ข Remote

$160K - $190K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

Posted 8 days ago

Job description

Due to an internal promotion a Microsoft Inner Circle Parter in Canada needs to fill the CE Technical Architect seat. You'll set the technical direction for the CE practice and client engagements, mentor developers and functional consultants, and lead the build on custom Power Platform work.

If you're a hands-on architect who leads by doing (and can spot when a developer needs a nudge before they ask), this is your seat.

Details:

Start date: ASAP

Location: Canada, fully remote. Ontario strongly preferred, other provinces considered

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Package: 160,000 - 190,000 CAD base + medical, dental (incl. vision), 25 days off (10 holidays, 15 vacation, 5 sick) + Bonus scheme

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years hands-on with Dynamics CRM/D365 CE, Dataverse, and Power Platform
  • Deep experience in Sales and Customer Insights (Marketing)
  • Development background
  • Comfortable leading a technical team without being their line manager
  • Proactive communicator. You raise your hand before problems escalate
  • Prior consulting or Microsoft Partner experience strongly preferred
  • Legal right to work in Canada without sponsorship

Nice to Have:

  • Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) experience. This is where the practice is heading and it will set you apart
  • Field Service or Customer Service exposure
  • Comfort with heavily custom Power Platform builds
