PeaceHealth is seeking anEnterprise Medical Director Signature Services - Oncologyin Vancouver, WA.This position is up to 1.0 FTE, split 0.50 FTE administrative + up to 0.50 FTE clinical.

The Enterprise Medical Director, Signature Services - Oncology provides enterprise-wide clinical leadership for oncology services across PeaceHealth. In partnership with operational leaders, physician colleagues, executive leadership, and regional teams, the Enterprise Medical Director, Signature Services - Oncology helps shape the future of cancer care by advancing clinical excellence, driving innovation, and supporting service line performance across the system.

The Enterprise Medical Director is responsible for providing clinical direction for oncology services across the continuum of care, guiding the development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of programs that improve patient outcomes, enhance the patient experience, and promote high-value care. Working in a highly matrixed environment, this leader collaborates with community, regional, and system stakeholders to align clinical priorities, support a unified One PeaceHealth approach to oncology care, and ensure clinical strategies support the organization's broader operational, growth, and quality objectives.

This role partners closely with operational leadership across ambulatory, acute, and post-acute settings to establish and achieve key clinical goals and performance targets for the oncology service line. The Enterprise Medical Director, Signature Services - Oncology leads efforts to define and monitor clinical quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), fostering a culture of continuous improvement while advancing evidence-based practices, care standardization, patient safety, and exceptional clinical outcomes.

The Enterprise Medical Director serves as a key physician champion for program development, clinical integration, physician engagement, and innovation. The position ensures that quality outcomes and performance improvement initiatives consistently achieve established targets and supports the development of a scalable and sustainable oncology care model that meets the evolving needs of the communities served.

The role maintains accountability for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and accreditation standards within areas of responsibility and ensures continuous survey readiness across oncology services. Through clinical leadership, collaboration, and strategic influence, the Enterprise Medical Director, Signature Services - Oncology helps create a high-performing oncology service line that delivers exceptional cancer care and supports PeaceHealth's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term growth objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides systemwide clinical leadership and direction for assigned signature services regional medical directors, advancing clinical excellence and driving care model redesign across the continuum of care.
• Partners with system strategic director and regional based clinical leaders to guide and influence hospital departments and ambulatory clinics involved in signature services delivery, ensuring alignment and achievement of targeted performance outcomes.
• Establishes and oversees a comprehensive quality reporting framework for signature services and collaborates with System Quality, regional medical directors, and clinical leadership to enhance reporting structures, systems, processes, and standards that support triple aim outcomes. Provides influence to ensure a robust, consistent, and effective peer review process across all regions.
• Collaborates with Signature Services Steering Committee to plan, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programs and care delivery models, including defining clinical objectives, resource and capital requirements, financial expectations, space allocation, and organizational structure.
• Supports region-based signature services medical and operations leaders in execution of operational and business plans that drive care standardization, optimization, and efficiency. Partners with System Services (Ambulatory, Quality, AST) to design and implement performance tracking systems that measure efficiency and outcomes.
• In collaboration with Signature Services Steering Committee and Operations Council members; develops and executes strategic and long-term transformation plans to advance innovative care models and expand geographic reach to better serve patients and communities.
• Partners with system and region leadership to lead recruitment, evaluation, and retention of signature services clinical providers, ensuring a high-performing and sustainable workforce. Collaborates with regional leadership to help manage staffing vacancies.
• Champions continuous improvement initiatives that advance clinical excellence, patient safety, and the patient and provider experience. Builds and sustains strong collaborative relationships with physicians, leaders, staff, and stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in outcomes, efficiency, and engagement.
• Ensures signature services achieve or exceed national benchmarks for quality and patient safety driving accountability and best-in-class performance.
• Maintains compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements for providers and services within scope of responsibility.
• Monitors and actively works to improve patient, physician and staff satisfaction, using data-driven insights to inform improvements and enhance overall experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Accredited School of Medicine
• An accredited residency program in a medical or clinical specialty.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience practicing medicine.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in physician management.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

• Medical Doctor - Current licensure as a physician in the State of practice.
• Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at the Medical Center/Clinic

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive results within a complex matrixed organizational environment.
• Ability to build collaborative, productive relationships with system, regional, and community leadership.
• Effectively partner and work closely with ambulatory, acute, and post-acute organizations across PeaceHealth.
• Excellent verbal, negotiation, and written communication skills, particularly with key stakeholder groups such as physicians, other clinicians, and quality improvement staff.
• Demonstrated strong customer service and collaboration skills across and with diverse key stakeholders and all levels of leadership.
• Up to date knowledge of changes in healthcare, emerging clinical methodologies and standards.
• Ability to understand and align day-to-day work with the PeaceHealth mission, core values and leadership model and reflect the leadership model attributes.
• Ability to form collaborative relationships, both within the organization and in the community.
• Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive medical-legal and professional subjects.
• Possesses ability to facilitate resolution of conflicts and grievances, handling highly charged problems and situations in a calm and objective manner.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

The salary for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $258.74/hr to $325.59/hr . The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, seniority, etc.
