The Service Line Leader is an integral and significant contributor to the Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) leadership and is responsible for working in concert with Saint Agnes colleagues and physician partners to achieve the strategic objectives of the service line and the organization. The Service Line Leader is to be viewed as the "owner" of the service and be fully accountable for clinical, financial, and service performance along with strategic planning that will encompass plans for growth of the service, building physician relationships, patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, and specialized/focused care. The Service Line Leader will reliably oversee the service throughout the continuum of care and will directly oversee the development and marketing of a comprehensive cancer program. This role will work closely with the executive leaders to analyze market profiles such as demographics, competitors, benchmarking, and use rates, utilizing this information to develop comprehensive strategies and business/financial plans. The Service Line Leader also works closely with Finance and Business Development to assess contracts and reimbursement and effectively utilize information to determine opportunities.

This position manages and is accountable for the oversight of Saint Agnes Oncology Service Line operations and staff in collaboration with the oncology department leaders. This also includes matrix responsibility for cancer care services, programs, and oncology entities within the medical center, as well as serving as a liaison to outside entities that support cancer care and oncology. This position is actively involved at strategic and tactical levels in the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of joint ventures/acquisitions in partnership with other key executives and physician partners. In addition, this position is responsible for integrating cancer care throughout the medical center, maintaining compliance with American College of Surgeons, The Joint Commission, and other agencies. The Service Line Leader Oncology takes the lead in developing the vision and strategy to grow Saint Agnes Oncology Services market share and works with physicians and staff as a key community liaison to build a program and brand as an healthcare facility that offers the highest quality of care with the best outcomes within the framework and environment that is based on the vision, mission, and values of Saint Agnes and Trinity Health. Over time, this Service Line Leader Oncology position may be expanded to oversee additional service lines as needed to advance strategic growth objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for an health-related field. Master's Degree is preferred.

Three to five years experience in oncology in an acute care setting is required.

Three years of oncology leadership management experience, with proven experience managing complex tasks associated with budgeting, capital acquisition, data analysis, and in-depth understanding of procedure-related processes and associated efficiency is required.

Business insight, innovative approach, strong strategic planning and excellent influence and communication skills in diverse situations, and a bias toward action, are required.

Proven experience in a matrix model, integrated services, program development and implementation of a successful co-management physician arrangement.

Active and Valid Driver's License.

Pay Range $169,707 - $254,571
