Connect Logistics/Orbit Brokers, a subsidiaries of Atlas Van Lines Canada is seeking a proactive, motivated and dynamic candidate to join our team!  The ideal candidate for our Business Development Manager role should also possess excellent customer services and sales skills.

Duties include the following:

  • Vetting opportunities and spending time to develop areas for increased success while working with Directors of various departments on new solutions.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for developing opportunities and communicating with customers and staff.
  • Meeting regularly with Atlas Agents remotely and in person to foster new business opportunities.
  • Growing the Connect Logistics brand within the Atlas Agency.
  • Contacting key Atlas Agent Sales Team Members and Account Coordinators to establish rapport and discover areas for which Connect Logistics can assist with their client base in executing opportunities and expanding service offerings.
  • Working closely with Connect Logistics leadership to review the viability of new opportunities in order to develop pricing, source carriers/providers, and expand offerings in areas that are beneficial to the organization.
  • Working closely with Orbit leadership to develop new business and expand service offerings.
  • Educating Atlas Agents on the value and areas for success within Connect Logistics.
  • Conducting quarterly marketing meeting opportunities with key Connect customers selling logistic service offerings.

Employment Type & Hours: Full-time position with work hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline, 3-5 years of job-related experience in sales/customer service, and/or marketing preferably in a logistics field, or equivalent combination of both education and experience are required. Language Skills, Computer Skills, Decision Making, and Reasoning Abilities are required.
