I. Job Summary:
The IT Network Administrator will be part of a global team responsible for monitoring and reporting on LAN/WAN network services in a 24x7, mission-critical environment. The Network Administrator's primary duties will include monitoring of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems. He/She may be asked to perform moves, adds, or changes related to networking equipment, or assistance in replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.
II. Job Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of any of the following technologies (hardware and ancillary tasks):
    • Firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto)
    • Switching (Cisco/HP): port configurations
    • Wireless technologies
    • Network Monitoring Tools: Solarwinds, etc
    • Microsoft: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Monitor and report on the established networking environment
  • Assist in troubleshooting network problems and coordinating changes
  • Report network operational status by gathering information
  • Assist with incident response on the network outages
  • Follow IT change control best practices for predictable results
  • Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations
