Employment Type Intern (Fixed Term) (Trainee) Job Summary As an IT Intern for the City of Olathe, you will gain hands-on experience in a real-world professional environment. Our IT Service Desk Interns have exposure to various IT functions while learning from experienced professionals.

If you are passionate about technology, end-user support, and providing world class customer service, this is a tremendous opportunity to further develop your technical skills. Pay Range: $15.50 - $16.50 an hour based on experience For more details, review the full job details and requirements below. The IT Intern provides first level IT support to City of Olathe Employees.

They are responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on a variety of software and hardware issues, ensuring end users have the tools to be successful. Key Responsibilities Provides IT support related to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems; provides technical support for desktop and hardware issues. Responds timely to incoming inquiries and system alerts and notifications through service tickets.

Communicates effectively with customers via phone, email, deskside, and chat keeping them informed of ticket progress and notifying them of impending changes and resolutions. Documents user issues and troubleshooting steps within service desk solutions. Qualifications Experience: One year of technical support experience is required unless enrolled in a relevant degree program.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Licenses & Certifications: None.
