Job Description:

Description of Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision, this position analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate business processes, upgrade or modify existing systems and review system-wide capabilities, and workflow. Supervises and monitors performance of staff assigned to help desk support. This position is responsible for day-to-day problem solving current and future implementations, architectural updates, and systems enhancements. Provides installation and troubleshooting for end user devices and servers. This position supports and maintains the legacy systems of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's/Vocational-Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of related experience OR one (1) year of experience at lower-level System Analyst or position equivalent. Relevant college coursework may substitute for on-the-job experience.


Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum training and experience requirements, possess one or more of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Network/Database Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience in troubleshooting complex server hardware and software related issues.
Experience with developing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Experience with implementing a comprehensive, enterprise-level, cybersecurity plan.

Other Remarks: Selected candidate subject to criminal records background and drug screening clearance. Work duties primarily performed in person main GPSTC campus in Forsyth, Georgia. Must be authorized to work in the United States. (In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. GPSTC does not offer sponsorships.)

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of related experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Systems Analyst 3 (ITP022) or position equivalent.--Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
