Position Overview
Cheer UP Athletics is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Associate to support the day-to-day operation of our facility, particularly during team practices, gym rentals, and scheduled events.
This individual will serve as the primary on-site point of contact for visiting teams, coaches, and athletes. The ideal candidate is welcoming, attentive, comfortable enforcing facility expectations, and able to independently oversee the gym environment throughout their shift.
We are specifically seeking candidates with availability on Friday evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays. Because this position supports facility rentals, shift end times may vary depending on the schedule and the conclusion of the final rental or activity of the day.
Key Responsibilities
Guest & Team Support
· Greet visiting teams, coaches, and athletes as they arrive.
· Direct teams to their assigned practice mats based on the daily facility schedule.
· Provide teams and coaches with necessary information regarding their rental or facility use.
· Answer basic questions and serve as the on-site point of contact throughout scheduled rentals.
· Direct athletes and guests to appropriate restroom locations and facility areas.
Facility Oversight
· Ensure parents and spectators remain outside designated athlete and coach areas unless otherwise authorized.
· Help maintain appropriate boundaries between public areas, staff-only areas, and training spaces.
· Monitor the gym throughout the shift and help ensure facility expectations are being followed.
· Communicate professionally with coaches, athletes, parents, and visitors when reinforcing facility policies.
Facility Preparation & Supplies
· Stock and maintain bandages, ice packs, and other designated front desk or facility supplies.
· Ensure speaker cords and necessary equipment are available at each assigned practice mat prior to team arrival.
· Help prepare the facility for scheduled teams and rentals.
Rental & Administrative Support
· Review the daily team and mat assignment schedule provided by management.
· Follow any special instructions related to individual teams or rentals.
· Communicate with management regarding outstanding rental payments, facility needs, scheduling concerns, or other issues as necessary.
· Follow day-of instructions communicated by management regarding rental activity and facility expectations.
Closing Responsibilities
· Complete a final walkthrough of the facility at the conclusion of the shift.
· Ensure practice areas and surrounding spaces are picked up and organized.
· Confirm equipment and supplies are returned to their appropriate locations.
· Turn off designated lights and equipment.
· Ensure the facility is left clean, organized, and ready for the next scheduled day.
Qualifications

· At least 18 years old.
· Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with coaches, athletes, parents, and visitors.
· Dependable and punctual with strong follow-through.
· Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the facility during assigned shifts.
· Able to confidently and respectfully enforce facility rules and boundaries.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Able to follow schedules, written instructions, and day-of updates.
· Previous customer service, front desk, hospitality, recreation, athletics, or facility experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule & Compensation
· Compensation: $18.00 per hour.
· Part-time schedule based primarily on facility rentals, practices, and events.
· Priority availability needed: Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additional availability may available/needed in the future.
· Shift end times may vary depending on when the final scheduled rental or activity concludes.
What We’re Looking For
The right person for this role is someone who is welcoming but confident, organized, responsible, and comfortable taking initiative. They should be able to create a positive first impression for visiting teams while also helping ensure the Cheer UP Athletics facility remains safe, organized, and running smoothly throughout their assigned shift.
