Job Title: Serviceย  Cashierย 

Department: Service

Reports To: Service Manager

SUMMARY

A cashier is always polite, flexible and accommodating. The cashier should be knowledgeable about the company and what it offers to guests.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Greets all customers entering the Waiting Lobbyย area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs/takes them to the appropriate person or location.

Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc. to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.

Maintains a clean and tidy Customer Lounge, IE: straightens newspapers, magazines and maintains Coffee/Refreshment area and necessary supplies/condiments. Cleaning up any spills and running vacuum cleaner as necessary. Monitors TVโ€™s such as changing channels as necessary to appropriate viewing content.

Engages conversation with customers to see that they are comfortable and that their needs are being met, always asking if they are completely satisfied and are their Advisors taking care of and updating them as to the progress of their vehicle repairs.

Cashier Duties,

Greets customers at the cashier desk in a pleasant and professional manner.

Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.

Makes change and issues receipts to customers.

Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
