A service contract is a formal agreement between a service provider and a client that outlines the terms and conditions for the delivery of specific services over a set period. It typically details the scope of work, payment terms, duration, responsibilities, and any warranties or guarantees. Service contracts help protect both parties by clearly defining expectations and procedures for handling disputes or changes to the agreement.
