About the Opportunity: We’re looking for exceptional people to help lead and support our amazing business practices as a Center Manager (Center Director) for a busy math tutoring center. For the right candidate, this opportunity presents a promising career focused on helping the community, helping students achieve educational success, and gaining valuable experience while developing professional skills. This position is Monday through Thursday from 1:00–7:00 PM, approximately 25–40 hours per week.
Position Summary: Mathnasium Center Managers are passionate about helping students learn math and achieve educational success. The ideal Center Manager is ambitious, highly motivated, enthusiastic, warm, and caring. They have strong leadership abilities that can inspire employees and build teamwork. Ideal candidates should have strong math skills and be able to speak knowledgeably about mathematics and students’ math abilities. Previous experience in education or teaching is preferred. Mathnasium Center Managers are capable of successfully managing the educational, customer experience, administrative, sales, and employee management aspects required to run a Mathnasium Learning Center. The Mathnasium Center Manager is responsible for effectively balancing educational duties, such as administering assessments and diagnosing student learning gaps; administrative duties, such as creating student binders and keeping the center clean and organized; sales duties, such as responding to leads and successfully enrolling customers; attending school and community events; and employee development and management duties, such as proper scheduling and providing on-the-job training and coaching.
Critical Objectives:
  • Assists in all areas of management
  • Attends school marketing events and builds relationships with schools
  • Oversees the floor during instructional hours and manages staff effectively
  • Works with students to teach foundational math skills
  • Serves as the point person for employees and parents
  • Provides exceptional math instruction using the Mathnasium Method
  • Builds center enrollment by increasing awareness of Mathnasium through marketing efforts and the retention of current students
