This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured, professional environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable learning new technology and navigating multiple systems and processes. The successful candidate will be an important part of a close-knit advisory team that values collaboration, accountability, embracing new technology, and doing things properly.

Your job:

  • Support wealth advisors in providing superior client service and be available to respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Carry out deposit, withdrawal, transfer, currency conversion, and other account instructions for investment accounts, ensuring careful review, diligent follow-up, and clear confirmation once complete.
  • Prepare, complete, and process client account documentation, including account opening, account updates, service requests, forms, and supporting documents.
  • Monitor submitted instructions and documentation through to completion, including identifying rejected or delayed items, following up with internal partners, and escalating when appropriate.
  • Help to integrate new technology and processes into the existing business.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring operational issues and helping the team improve procedures, checklists, and follow-up practices.
  • Produce and prepare portfolio reports, statements, tax slips, and other client documents as required.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and risk management rules, including appropriate handling of client information, documentation, approvals, and transaction instructions.

Your team:

National Bank Financial - Wealth Management is the fifth largest investment brokerage firm in Canada. We have close to 1,000 investment advisors who manage the assets of more than 400,000 clients in about 100 branches. Reporting to the regional manager, you will team up with a wealth advisor to offer an exceptional client experience. Collaboration and partnership will be key to your success.

Prerequisites:

  • Completed college and/or university diploma in a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience in banking operations, wealth management, insurance, financial services, client service, administration, or another role requiring careful follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, or willingness to complete required industry courses if applicable to the role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and multiple active tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially for transaction instructions, forms, data points, and client information.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, politely, and accurately with clients, advisors, and internal partners.
  • Comfort learning internal systems and processes, including documentation, ticketing, workflow, and reporting tools.
