Job description

Position Title: Service Advisor
Reporting to: Service Manager
Department: Service
Central Power Systems & Services is a privately held company with deep roots going back to 1954. Our Mission Statement is forging long-lasting partnerships by providing first-class customer support. We live that statement every single day. We are looking for a Service Advisor to help support that mission.
JOB SUMMARY
The service advisor is expected to be a Liaison between the Service Department and their Customers. The Service Advisor is expected to take ownership of all Repair Orders (Customers) that they open as well as support all other Repair Orders (Customers) as needed until the time they are completed and closed. Compensation includes a competitive, team-based incentive plan based on department performance!
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet customer, establish rapport and gather repair issue information
  • Communicate intake of repair orders to the Foreman
  • Create and present Customer(s) with Estimate(s) and or Repair Plans
  • Maintain communication with Technician, Foreman and Customer to ensure timely repair completion and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Parts Dept. to ensure timely ordering and prevent delays
  • Identify, manage and process Warranty Repairs, working with Warranty team for compliant documentation
  • Update Customers on status throughout repair process
  • Meet or exceed service upselling goals
  • Customer Pick-up
  • Process customer invoicing and payments
  • Adhere to all safety policies and maintain safe environment for customers and employees
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma required, technical education in Automotive, Diesel or related field a plus
  • Experience in a shop environment, heavy-duty diesel shop experience preferred
  • Excede software experience preferred
  • 2+ years sales experience, specifically upselling service
  • 3+ years experience and industry knowledge preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

WORK CONDITIONS
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
