Job description

As a Service Advisor Trainee at Hennessy Lexus of Atlanta, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth flow of the service process. Your primary responsibilities will involve introducing customers to the service process, obtaining necessary information, and providing support throughout their visit. This role is intended to help you learn the service consultation process to grow you into a service advisor. It requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.

What You'll Do:
  • Greet customers upon arrival and identify the reason for their visit.
  • Verify customer and vehicle information and initiate the repair order process to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Establish a positive and friendly relationship with customers to foster trust and confidence in the dealership's service offerings.
  • Label vehicles with appropriate tags for identification and securely manage keys to prevent misplacement.
  • Perform initial vehicle walkaround including taking pictures of the dashboard, turning wheels to the left, measuring tire tread depth, inspecting wiper blades, and taking pictures of the exterior.
  • Suspend the repair order in Reynolds and facilitate a smooth hand-off to the appropriate advisor, giving a brief explanation of the customer's needs
  • Manage the arrangement of vehicles and coordinate with valet staff to optimize workflow.
  • Ensure cleanliness and protection of customer vehicles.
  • Assist in handling customer transactions accurately and professionally.
  • Escort customers to their vehicles and provide a summary of services.
  • Assist in the pickup and delivery of customers and their vehicles.
  • Facilitate loaner vehicle contracts and manage the check-in process as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
What We Expect:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic automotive knowledge is a plus.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid GA driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
  • Must submit to a background check and drug screen.

Working Environment & Physical Demands
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 25 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, walking and driving vehicles. Must be able to handle working long hours and weekends.
