Job description

Join the TLC Team

TLC Auto & Truck Repair Center is looking for an experienced, motivated Service Advisor to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who understands that a great Service Advisor is more than someone who writes repair orders. You are the connection between the customer, technician, and management team — responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience while driving profitable and efficient repair orders.

If you are organized, confident with customers, motivated by performance, and want to work in a professional, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience
  • Perform thorough vehicle write-ups and accurately document customer concerns
  • Build trust with customers through clear communication and transparency
  • Present inspections, recommendations, and repair estimates
  • Effectively explain the why behind recommended repairs
  • Follow up with customers to obtain authorization and keep repairs moving
  • Maximize opportunities through proper maintenance and repair recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and organized repair orders
  • Coordinate closely with technicians and the Shop Foreman
  • Monitor work-in-progress and ensure customers are updated throughout the repair
  • Manage customer expectations regarding timing, pricing, and repairs
  • Schedule appointments and manage daily workflow
  • Communicate effectively with fleet, commercial, and other business customers
  • Consistently follow TLC's customer service and sales processes
  • Ask for customer reviews and referrals
  • Help maintain a clean, professional, and organized front counter

What We're Looking For

  • Previous automotive Service Advisor experience preferred
  • Strong automotive knowledge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong sales and relationship-building abilities
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy shop environment
  • Comfortable discussing vehicle repairs and pricing with customers
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Tekmetric or another automotive management system is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license

What Makes a Great TLC Service Advisor?

We are looking for someone who:

Takes ownership.
You don't wait for someone else to solve a problem.

Communicates.
Customers should always know what is happening with their vehicle.

Sells through education.
You help customers understand their vehicle's needs rather than simply trying to sell repairs.

Stays organized.
A well-managed repair order creates a better experience for everyone.

Works as a team.
You understand that technicians, advisors, parts, and management must work together to keep the shop productive.

Compensation & Opportunity

$100,000–$130,000+ earning potential

Our compensation structure rewards performance, customer satisfaction, sales, and overall contribution to the shop.

We provide an opportunity for the right Service Advisor to build a long-term career with a growing automotive repair organization.
