Location: Cashiers, NC, 28717
Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Essential Function
The Server will be responsible for providing food and beverage service to club members and guests through taking orders, delivering orders, and ensuring that members and guests have a pleasurable dining experience.
Responsibilities
  • Greet members and guests as they are seated at tables, ensuring that the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other dining needs have been provided.
  • Distribute food and beverage menus and present any daily specials.
  • Answer questions regarding the menu.
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen.
  • Ensure that state and local guidelines are followed when serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to members and guests at tables.
  • Ensure food orders are prepared correctly and to member/guest satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen.
  • Regularly check on tables to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Collect plates and clear tables as members/guests finish their meals.
  • Collect payments and process them accurately.
  • Arrange tables to conform with in-house restaurant standards.
  • Break down tables after use and prepare them for the next seating.
  • Prepare member/guest checks and collect payments, ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
  • Stock serving stations and keep them clean and organized.
  • Ensure overall restaurant cleanliness.
  • Set up and break down the dining room.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Prior serving experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate the Point of Sales (POS) system.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry trays of food.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs or more.
