Job description

Role: Cloud Specialist 

Location: Jackson, MS 39211 – ​Onsite    

Duration: 3 year with possible extensions             

  

Local candidates are highly preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Support cloud migration initiatives and hybrid cloud integrations
  • Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions
  • Monitor cloud systems, analyze performance, and resolve technical issues
  • Configure and maintain cloud security controls including access management and data protection
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance standards
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Perform deployment validation and post-implementation testing

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5–6+ years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Strong understanding of core cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and identity & access management
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, routing, and firewalls
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles including access control and data protection
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting cloud-based systems in enterprise environments
  • Experience managing Windows Server workloads and Active Directory integration
  • Familiarity with virtual infrastructure technologies such as VMware or hypervisors
  • Understanding of cloud database services such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation
