Job Summary:
NTT DATA is a trusted global innovator of business and technology services, seeking a Linux Systems Engineer – Server Migration to support a large-scale data center migration program. The role involves planning and executing server migrations, managing storage connectivity, and troubleshooting issues to ensure minimal downtime and strong service continuity.
Responsibilities:
• Own and engineer the Linux compute platform across migration phases.
• Coordinate migration waves, rollback plans, and validation checklists.
• Maintain security, stability, and compliance across Linux infrastructure.
• Work with support teams and internal engineering groups to resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to modernization efforts involving Kubernetes, OpenShift, and related platform technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of overall experience with 4+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with large-scale server or data center migrations.
• 3+ years of experience in Deep VMware ESXi/vSphere.
• 4+ years of experience in iSCSI networking and LVM expertise.
• Good skills in Bash and Python.
• Good understanding of networking, CI/CD, and container platforms like OpenShift/Kubernetes.
Preferred:
• Experience with migration tools such as Zerto, Veeam, or vCenter Converter.
