Job description

At Mikey’s, we’re proud to bring to life a newly crafted version of Portage County’s favorite ale house. We are dedicated to great good, quality craft beer, & a welcoming atmosphere for guests & team members alike.

Individuals holding this title will be responsible for exceptional guest service via the direction of the General Manager. Employees in this position will be required (but not limited) to perform the tasks listed.


· Provide exceptional guest service

· Answer phone per restaurant needs and guidelines

· Greet guests at host stand in a prompt and welcoming manner

· Bus and set tables as needed

· Assist in taking and properly fulfilling reservations per restaurant needs

· Anticipate guest needs and address issues promptly

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment

· Possess a fundamental industry knowledge

· Possess an understanding of food menu items

· Work professionally with fellow employees

· Maintain scheduling availability as agreed upon during the hiring process

· Show up on time to scheduled shifts, missing work only in the event of sickness or emergency (proper notice required when applicable)

· Perform side work as assigned by the Server Manager

· Perform additional tasks as instructed by any member of management

· Help fellow employees with any and all tasks as needed


Wage: $10 - $12 per hour + tips 

This position is eligible to earn tips. The average host will earn $15.00 - $25.00 in tips per 4-hour shift.
